GravityOps Multi Media

GravityOps Multi Media adds a Multi Media field type to Gravity Forms, allowing you to embed videos directly inside a form with built-in progress tracking and watch-completion validation.

Adding the Field #

In the Gravity Forms editor, find Multi Media under the Advanced Fields section. Drag it into your form, then either select a video from the Media Library or paste a directly playable MP4 URL from a CDN.

Field Options #

  • Video source — select a video from the WordPress Media Library or paste a stable HTTP/HTTPS URL that points directly to an MP4 file. YouTube pages, iframe embeds, and HLS/DASH manifests are not direct MP4 sources.
  • Duration — detected from the video metadata when possible. If the CDN prevents metadata detection, enter the duration in seconds manually.
  • Require full watch — when enabled, the field validates that the user has watched the video to completion before the form can be submitted. Forward-seeking is restricted.
  • Progress tracking — the field stores how far the user has watched, recorded as part of the entry.

Server-Side Validation #

When playback begins, the plugin creates short-lived, cryptographically signed watch-session state. Periodic heartbeats advance its verified progress no faster than elapsed playback time. If “Require full watch” is enabled, form submission verifies that signed progress rather than trusting the hidden field value, preventing a visitor from bypassing the requirement by simply changing the posted number.

Like every browser-based video system, this verifies elapsed player activity rather than proving that a person was looking at the screen. Interrupted network requests can also prevent progress from being verified; the field displays a message when that happens.

In the GravityOps dashboard #

Open GravityOps → Multi Media (or a form’s Settings → Multi Media tab). The page has these tabs:

  • Overview — what the plugin does at a glance.
  • Analytics — completion analytics for every video field across your forms: number of responses, average watch time, completion rate, and how many viewers reached the end. The watch figure is the furthest position reached, measured against each response’s recorded video length.
  • Docs — this documentation, right in your dashboard.
  • Help — support links.

Video fields themselves are added and configured in the form editor (Advanced Fields → Multi Media).
