Table of Contents
What you see when configuring feeds depends entirely on the connected Asana user account. The plugin cannot display or use anything the connected user doesn’t have access to.
Access and Visibility #
- Only projects, sections, tags, custom fields, and users the connected account can access will show in dropdowns.
- If something seems missing, the most common reason is that the connected user does not have permission in Asana to view it.
Workspace Behavior #
- Tasks are created in selected projects from the active workspace, and the projects, assignees, and tags you can choose from all come from that workspace.
- If a task fails and a backup task is created, it is always placed in the active workspace with no project assignment.
Multi‑Workspace Support #
- In the premium version (all plans), an Asana Workspace selector appears in the task creation feed and the Update Task workflow step. When your connected account belongs to more than one workspace, you can choose which one to target. Changing it reloads the settings so the project, assignee, and tag dropdowns refresh to match.
- On the free version the plugin uses the connected account’s first workspace automatically (the first workspace returned by Asana for that account).
What To Do #
- Make sure the connected account has access to the projects, fields, and assignees you need.
- If the wrong projects appear and you are using the premium version, check the Asana Workspace selector and pick the workspace you intend to use.
- For missing items, confirm in Asana directly whether the connected user can see them. If not, update their permissions there first.
