Gravity Flow Steps

Gravity Flow integration is optional and requires Premium or Agency. When Gravity Flow is active, the plugin registers AI Text and AI Image workflow step types.

When To Use A Workflow Step #

Use a step when generation should happen at a particular point in an approval, review, or routing workflow rather than immediately after submission. Examples include generating a summary after an approval, preparing an image after content review, or drafting an internal response before a later human step.

Configure A Step #

  1. Create and test the underlying AI Text or AI Image feed on the form.
  2. Open the form’s Gravity Flow workflow settings.
  3. Add the matching AI step type.
  4. Choose the feed the step should run.
  5. Configure the normal Gravity Flow step settings and save the workflow.

The step uses the selected feed’s provider, credential source, model, prompts, destinations, image settings, and conditional logic. Its normal Trigger Mode does not prevent explicit workflow execution.

Runtime Behavior #

  • The step evaluates the feed’s conditional logic against the workflow entry.
  • Text and images are sanitized and saved into the feed’s configured destination fields.
  • Provider usage is recorded in the same ledger used by other runs.
  • Site-wide provider/form controls and monthly caps still apply.
  • Failures are recorded and surfaced through the workflow step behavior.

For text feeds, Workflow Notifications determines whether the feed completion or failure notification event is also emitted after the workflow run. The checkbox does not create or enable the workflow step.

If Gravity Flow is not active, or the installation has only the Pro plan, these step types are not registered.
