Segment Recipients with Target-Form Conditional Logic

(Premium only)

Target-form conditional logic lets you filter down recipients from the target form so only certain entries are included in a batch.

How It Works #

  1. In your feed, set a Target Form and choose its Email Field.
  2. Enable Mass Email Conditional Logic in the feed settings.
  3. Define rules based on fields in the target form.
    • Example: “Donation Date is after 01/01/2025.”
    • Example: “Role = Parent.”
  4. Submit the control form. The batch will include only entries that match your conditions.

Using Merge Tags #

  • You can use merge tags from the control form to populate values in the target-form conditions.
  • This makes the filter dynamic (e.g., “Donation Date is after {ControlForm:DateField:meff}”).
  • Note: When you use merge tags, the preview will display 0 recipients even though the batch will run correctly.

Tips #

  • Combine multiple rules to build precise audience segments.
  • Always double-check the estimated batch size when not using merge tags.

Target-form logic is a powerful way to send highly targeted messages without exporting or manually filtering entries outside WordPress.
